Up to now, I still find it amazing how my quiet time with our Lord continues to give me strength and to get me through my day. I still cannot help but marvel on the way He reveals himself to me as I go deeper in intimacy with him in my daily devotions. He never fails to equip me spiritually, emotionally, physically and financially as I continue to press on and trod the path that he had set for me.



Amidst the hustle and bustles of my daily life, He is always there to calm me whenever things may seem unfavorable. Whatever the circumstances that I am in or no matter how mammoth the task ahead maybe, he assures me always that there is always nothing to massive for him to overcome. And I am forever thankful for his assurance.

In retrospective of who I was before, I am thankful that our mighty God has given me the chance to metamorphose into the person that I am now. Gone is the condescending woman who was driven only by the ways of the world. Gone is the selfish woman who thinks the world revolves around her. I’ve learn to humble myself and submit to HIM wholeheartedly. It is not about what I want now, but it is all about what HE wants in my life and for my life.

I actually did not see myself before like this. I was so afraid to commit; I always say that I am too busy with work to commit; I am too busy with my family to focus on anything else. But then I realized, if we really want to do something we make time for it, and if our heart is not into it then we will always have excuses to do so. Moreover, I pondered on how loving our Lord is that HE always gives us HIS time; he always listens; he is always there and yet when he calls me, I tell him I am too busy for HIM. I was too busy for the great one who has given me everything that I have in the first place! Everything was important to me, my career, my family, my loved ones but not Him, and I just could not make time for HIM. Tragic but true, but this is the cold truth that most of us are experiencing nowadays. We seem to be contented to give our God the leftover times that we have when He has given us His Son to redeem us; when he is never too busy for us.



Truly indeed, if we humble ourselves to what he wants for us, he will equip us. Currently, I am serving 3 ministries, counselling 3 people every week, attending my weekly counselling with my shepherd, going to weekly bible studies with my family, writing for the district website and newsletter, and not to brush aside the demanding nature of my profession to the point that after bible study, there are times that still need to go back to office and work till morning and of course, the task of being a mom and a wife. Surprisingly, I’ve never felt weary because of all the activities but instead, I feel a deep surging passion to full fill his plans for me and heed his call. COMMITMENT is a choice to make. The first commandment is to worship the Lord our God with all heart and soul; to put him first in everything not second to anything else.



I am not a perfect Christian, perfection is reserved for Christ alone but one thing I am sure of, I am allowing HIM to mold me into the person that he wants me to be. I am serving HIM because I love him and when I love, I love with a passion and intensity focused on HIM alone. So how do you love? Are you the kind of person who just say I love you but does not prioritize the one you love or are you someone who loves with all your heart and soul?
